About Me:
I believe that my purpose in life is to be a good educator. I am currently taking Elementary Education in South Texas College. My parents were the ones who motivated me to be what I am today –a person who has great passion to teach kids. I would like to be an Elementary teacher and be able to impart my knowledge as a gift to children so they can have a brighter future and be well-prepared for what lies ahead of them in the real world.
I want to be the kind of teacher that my students will admire and respect for. I would like to be a good role model to my students and be able to efficiently share my knowledge to them because it will be my legacy to them if ever I pass away. I do not mind if the pay is not particularly well when it comes to teaching. What’s important to me is that I’ll be able to contribute my time, efforts, and dedication to a worthy cause (teaching young minds effectively so they could have a successful career in the future).
I am a very well-rounded, flexible, and resilient person. I love to engage in many different activities and I enjoy being part of school clubs/organizations, church activities, volunteer work, and community service involvement. I also have passion for music and poetry. When I was in high school, I joined many clubs and organizations. I was in our schoolpaper “Newscope” as a contributor. I was part of our Math Club, Science Club, Tourism Club, and Rondalla Club. I also joined the American Sign Language Club and became the Secretary, UIL Ready Writing and Journalism team captain, Med/Ed program member, Catholic Daughters of the Americas member, Our Lady of sorrows Christmas Orchestra member, Holy Spirit Church Choir member, McHi Repertory Orchestra member, and I also became the co-editor of the Salud Literary Magazine at McAllen High School. I was also a member of the National Honor Society and a volunteer at the Rio Grande Regional Hospital for over a year. In high school I’ve done many community services such as raising funds for the Van Cook Cancer foundation, Halloween project for poor kids in the valley, and Valentine project for charities. In college, I became the secretary of our Biology club and I helped raised funds for the breast cancer awareness and children cancer awareness events. My love and passion for being active in the community and school didn’t cease to stop. Currently, I am a member of the Valley Scholars Program, ATPE (Association of Texas Professional Educators) Club secretary, Biology club secretary, Chemistry club member, STLO (South Texas Lyric Opera) member and Student Leadership Academy member. I can’t remember how many volunteer services or community services I’ve done already but I know that I contributed happily to my community and I am thankful for the opportunities I had to serve my school, community and church in many ways.
I’ve always wanted to have a good job that will help me create a positive difference in the world. And for me, I learned that that noble job is teaching. By being a teacher I will be able to instill knowledge to my students and be able to inspire a positive difference in their lives. I would like to leave a legacy in this world before I pass away and that legacy is the knowledge that I am going to impart to kids in school. My mother is a high school teacher and because of her I was inspired to be a teacher myself. I can see my mom’s hard work, effort, patience, and dedication to teach her students very well. Without teachers in this world, knowledge and information can’t be passed on efficiently. Teachers play a major role in our society and community. I truly admire the teaching profession in many ways. Not only is it rewarding and worthwhile but it also influences the student’s success in the future. I’ve had a lot of good teachers who have inspired me to become who I am today, and I’m grateful for their support and encouragement. I learned a lot from them and they helped me become a successful student not only academically but also morally. I believe teaching is a rewarding and fun way to teach students to learn many things about academics and the world around us. My ideal job is indeed teaching. And I’m proud to be a good teacher in the future.
If you want to get to know me more, send me messages. I’ll be glad to respond. Thank you. =)
